Vasanta - god of Spring
Its been a cold winter, colder than in several years,
and it has just started to warm up. The sun is visibly
moving northwards, rising earlier and setting a little
later. We've still got a way to go, but lo, spring is
upon us. Seems a bit early, but here it is.
Tomorrow is Vasant Panchami and Saraswati Puja - the official beginning of spring -Vasant Panchami, and
the Holy-day of Saraswati, the goddess of Learning

and for the blessing of Manjushri, the youthful Buddhist God of Wisdom, who with a slash of his sword opened up Kathmandu Valley for human civilization.
