Namaste,

We are now in the middle of the (cold) bathing month of Magh.  It has warmed up a little since the beginning of Spring (Vasant Panchami).  The reading of the Sri Swasthani scriptures has just concluded -

kumbalela

Devotees perform ritual during a religious offering in Madhavnarayan Mela observed at the last day of Swasthani Brata
in Hanumanghat, Bhaktapur on Saturday, January 30, 2010.

I also ought to take a sacred bath, so I'm off tomorrow to Hardwar for the Kumbha Mela, a once every 12 years bathing event, which attracts millions of pilgrims, and thousands of sadhus (ascetics).  I don't know if the divine connection will include internet, so please take note of two upcoming holy-days, Mahashivaratri (Feb 12), and Tibetan New Year (Losar), Feb. 14, Iron-Tiger Year 2137.  I will be bathing in the Ganges with the millions at Shivaratri.  I'm returning on Feb 16, just in time to probably miss the traditional Baudha/Mahankal Losar gathering of the Tribe cum bash.   II will try to send some photos from the mela if I can...

BAM!  BAM!  BAM!  Always keep joy in your heart!
